Super delicious food, great staff, unfortunately it has to close again from Monday due to corona. That's why I thought I would support all of this again by having brunch with my child today .... We'll be back ?

Just a large standard mass store. The cafe took a long time and wasn't very tasty. There is a lot of space in a good location. Atmosphere is more like a large water heater.

Very nice location, beautifully central and very family-friendly! The food is delicious and you can only recommend it to everyone. The Alex just belongs to Kassel like the Herkules and is known to everyone. Many people here are probably just too shy and therefore have not had a satisfactory experience with the waiters. Because Alex is so popular and crowded, it is understandable why the waiters don't see you when you want to, in the heat of the moment. If you can't wait a second, maybe you should call the waiter. Then they come immediately. At least it works for me: D

We were at the breakfast buffet. 1. It really took 25 minutes for the waiters to come to the table for the first time. At some point we just got up and let ourselves be served at the buffet. The table that came after us was served first. 2. It was another 20 minutes until the drinks arrived. It has to be said that there weren't many guests. The waiters stood at the counter and only talked. They were also in a bad mood. No tip earned, 0 cents.

My advice for the waiters must focus on eye contact with the clients during the service time. Plus put an English menu also for visitors from another countries. Very nice staff and delicious coffee! We were 6 people and were allowed outside so that we could sit together even push the tables together. We are happy to come back!

Generally a good place to end the evening with friends. The food is perfectly fine. I can particularly emphasize the breakfast. I can't say anything negative about the price / performance. I would describe it as appropriate. What I have been criticizing for years is the staff or rather the way they work. I can not say anything negative to any individual, but the process urgently needs to be optimized. The first order usually runs smoothly. Then it starts... Either you don't see the waitress anymore (as if everyone had finished work) or you are ignored. So far, unfortunately, in 80% of cases, I had to get up at the end and draw attention to myself directly at the front of the counter. Otherwise there is really nothing negative to say about the products and atmosphere.

The waiters ignored us. And I think it was because we are foreigners. The food was OK, but the attention was horrible. In response to the one of the owner: Well, we had to wait for almost 40 minutes to have a waiter, and all the Germans that arrived at the restaurant after us were attended before us. Sometimes they did look at us and then immediately they took their eyes off, we had to call a waiter personally. So... Don't come here! We waited 20 min to order. In the next 20 min 1 beer arrived. After 40-45 we all had our drinks and a full hour after we arrived our food came... Half of it was cold including the burger and fries. However the food was ok but definitely NOT worth the wait.

Alex is a good place for having a snack or drink once you're in downtown Kassel. It seems that there is a new team. They were friendly and we had no longer waiting times. Also positive you have a direct access to the publics, right in front of the door. There are also a lot of shops, Kaufhof, dm, phone shops shoe shops etc. in the neighborhood. Old central station is 10-15 mins away by foot, publics, 4 mins. Pricing of Alex is average. Kitchen is Bistro style. Baguettes, salads, potatoes with sour cream and chicken breast etc. Daily breakfast buffet, coffee, cake waffles, ice cream also available. Close to the park (Aue). I can recommend it.
